Dear Mr Brindley,
When, just over a year ago, I found that I had been appointed a very antique Programme secretary and that my back was well and truly to the wall, someone said to me "When you're trying to make up a programme, if you can manage to get Robert Brindley you'll be a winner......" And on Saturday I discovered what good advice that was! Your demonstration was attended by a lot more members than I normally expect during the June-August period and they went away very happy......and much wiser! For my own part, I very much appreciated your attention to detail......One of the things I did yesterday was to go carefully and critically through the different papers I've accumulated in the last few years and I really expect (or, at least, hope!) to see the difference in the coming weeks.
Thank you so much for all your expertise and so much good advice.
Yours sincerely
Peter Dench
Programme Secretary
