This watercolour painting was inspired by a photograph taken 'into the light' one winter afternoon, whilst out looking for painting material arround Whitby harbour, on the North Yorkshire coast.

Dazzling light bouncing off the wet mud and a wonderful hazy distance made the subject irresistible.
